In 1999, we foster-adopted 2 little boys. One had extreme issues keeping down any food. He was able to keep down goat milk, so we decided to purchase our own dairy goats. He was able to drink the goat milk without any issues.
Fast forward to 2007 and we started an entire line of skin care products (soaps, lotions, lip balms, salves, etc.) utilizing our goat milk and other farm fresh ingredients under our farm name (at the time, it was “Weber Farms”).
My wife became the first licensed cosmetics manufacturer for the state of Kentucky and she had a successful business until we closed up shop in 2010, after the Food Safety Modernization Act was passed by Congress (there is a story there, too).
She continued to make products for friends and family, until one of her sisters asked her to start up the business again.
So here we are, 15 years later…
